After installing the app click on Get Started button and choose the second option if you won’t buy a pro version of this app. You will see the main screen. There are Scan Now button and four sections: Protection, Performance, Anti-Theft and Privacy. If you want to change security settings, then select Protection pane. There you can enable external storage scanning, set up protection for another device, update antivirus version and launch up the first scan. There is also the list for ignored threats.

Anti-Theft option will help you to find your device in case of theft or loss. You can control your smartphone or tablet remotely via registered AVG account. But you should know that some useful features, as Device Lock or Camera Trap, are available only in Pro version.

Performance pane will allow your battery and RAM. You can off some processes and free up space. They are additional options that can be used for system tweaking. Privacy pane is backup utility. It has also call blocker and app lock functions.
