WinZip

WinZip is a powerful and simple archiver that can be used for home and work. It’s a brand archiver from Corel that provides instant zipping and unzipping. It also offers addition functions, as cloud file sharing, encryption operations in cloud environment, email options, PDF converting, adding watermark and photo resizing during zip processing, and other things. If you need to open/unzip RAR or 7Zip files, you can use this software. Originally the archivator was made in 1989 by PKWare. In 2006 Corel acquired WinZip Computing. Later developers presented ribbon-interface that is similar to Microsoft Office products.

The main window is divided on three parts: Files (explorer), Zip pane (work with archive files) and Actions panel. If you don’t like the modern interface, you can switch it to the alternative view (classic theme). There are 3 types of layout: tall rows, table and icon. You can display folders in the WinZip file as a tree structure.

If you want to use supplementary instruments, as creating of self-extracting archives or UUEncode function, you should open Tools tab. There are a lot of interesting solutions as advanced options. You can also use System Scanner and diagnostic tools. It’ll help you to fix optimization problems.

You should know that the program language is depending on your system language settings. And you have no opportunity to change it after installation. If you want to use trial version of WinZip, you should push on Evaluation button after launching.
