The WinRAR functionality is similar to WinZip. However, WinRAR has some additional benefits. For example, you can set a dictionary and volume size, use solid or RAR compression method. If you want to create or repair RAR archives, you should use WinRAR. WinZip can't do it. Also, WinZip doesn't support such formats as ACE, Z, ISO. And it hasn't a format converting function. Besides, WinRAR is cheaper than WinZip.
