General information about the program

Alcohol 120% is the program that can create virtual drives on your PC. It’s a good solution for those people who appreciate convenience of non-physical discs. Plus, the app can burn CD or DVD and create a copy of your physical discs. It’s useful option especially when you need to reserve important data.

The utility has a functional interface. Main options and menu bar are in the left part of screen. The main window has five columns: Name, Path, Size, Type and Hotkey. There are also 2 types of main screen – Detail View and Folder View. There is device menu below the main screen. It displays a number of virtual/physical drives.

At first, you need to add a virtual drive if you haven’t done it before. Find Virtual Driver icon (it’s in Options bar), click on it and select the number of your virtual disks instead of zero. Then you’ll see how your virtual drives will be mounted.

If you want to mount an image, then you should use Image Finder option. Launch it, choose a searching area (local disks) and types of extensions and then click on Search button. The program will find all images on the selected disks. You can also use drag-and-drop to add an image on the main window. After that you can add any object from the list. And now move your image into virtual drive. To load the disk, use double-clicking on the image in the main window.

To copy a disc you need to insert your CD/DVD into physical drive and use Copy Wizard. It’ll create an image that can be mounted via virtual drive. If you want to change a language, click on View tab and choose Language option.
