WorldWeb is the comprehensive dictionary and thesaurus for Windows. It will help you to add new words to your vocabulary, check your spelling, and hear the pronunciation. After installing the program hides in your system tray and you can use it whenever you work with documents in other apps. Besides, the utility updates regularly and includes the latest international English words.
The program has a simple and easy-to-use interface. When you launch the utility, you will discover an empty screen with 5 tabs in the top panel. To start with, enter a word in the form to display all information about it and view synonyms or antonyms in the lower part of the screen. If you want to hear a word, just click on the music button near the search form. As for top menu bar, the Bookmarks tab allows you to add new words to your favorite list, pick a random word from it, and view all your added bookmarks. The second tab will help you to copy the selected word. The Search form is available only in the paid version. The View tab can be used for checking a word in the online WorldWeb service. Options allow you to set up preferences and fonts. And Help contains tutorials and official URLs.
This is the Free edition of the utility. There is also the paid Pro version that grants extra options. For example, you can add Oxford, Chambers and Collins thesauruses after upgrading to Pro.
